Company Introduction

Angola Air Services was established in 2001 in Sumbe , the Kwanza Sul Provincial capital . The company started with one Beechcraft C90 aircraft .

Angola Air Services moved the operation to Luanda in 2002 in order to serve it’s corporate customers in a better way and to be closer to the business charter market.

In 2004 Angola Air Services was rewarded the World Food Program passenger service contract for Angola , an achievement which indicated to Angola Air Services that it’s Quality Assurance program was achieving the results it was hoping for.

In 2006, Angola Air Services purchased it’s first Regional Airliner , a Jetstream 41 with 29 passenger seats . This aircraft was successfully introduced into the Angolan Corporate Charter market in October 2006, and has since then proven itself in reliability and cost effectiveness.

In 2006 Angola Air Services was also awarded the De Beers and BHP Billiton transport contract after passing their respective Aviation Audits.

In December 2006, Angola Air Services inaugurated it’s new Hangar Facility at Aeroporto 4 de Fevereiro . It consists out of a maintenance facility with offices, as well as a charter facility and Departure Lounges for both Economy and First Class passengers. The latest technology in baggage and passenger scanning equipment was purchase to enable Angola Air Services to run a safe operation.
Angola Air Services was the first Angolan operator to introduce the Rapiscan 627 baggage X-Ray machine in Angola .

In 2007 Angola Air Services decided to purchase two more Jetstream 41 aircraft, since we received requests from our Corporate clients for leases on aircraft.
Two Jetstream 41’s was purchased in New Zealand , and was ferried to South Africa for refurbishment and upgrades to the equipment . First for Angola Air Services .

In 2007 Angola Air Services also took the important decision to buy it’s first Business Jet . We decided on a Learjet 45, which has got all the latest aviation technology systems incorporated into one aircraft.

The Learjet 45 is such a success in the Angola Air Services operation, that we have ordered a second Jet for our Long Range customer market who wants to fly intercontinental.

Angola Air Services has got a modern Maintenance facility at it’s Luanda FBO , and is servicing Regional Airliners such as Jetstream 41 and Embraer 120’s.

Angola Air Services is also in a process to equip the maintenance facility to service the latest Business Jet aircraft , such as Learjet 45 , Challenger 604 and 605 , since the Angolan market is expanding in this market .

Angola Air Services is the first Operator in Africa to have the complete fleet on CAMP program .
